You live in Wales. Wales is a small country that is part of the United Kingdom. The United Kingdom is made up of four countries. These are Wales, England, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

The mainland includes England, Scotland and Wales. Northern Ireland is located on a separate island, along with the country Ireland. Wales has a small island off the northwest side of it, called Anglesey.

An island is a piece of land that is surrounded by water.

Each of the countries in the United Kingdom has their own national symbol:

Wales - daffodil
England - red rose
Northern Ireland - shamrock
Scotland - thistle

They also have traditional food dishes that include the following:

Wales - leeks
England - roast beef and Yorkshire pudding
Northern Ireland - Irish stew
Scotland - haggis
