Ill health is caused by many different factors.
This session deals with the pathogenic causes of ill health in farm animals.
It will look at the 5 main pathogens: bacteria, viruses, fungi, protozoa, rickettsia and parasites (these are not true pathogens)
At the end of this session you will be able to:
- Name the common pathogenic causes of illness
- Classify some common diseases into categories
- Explain how pathogens can cause illness and explain their mode of entry into the body
