Llanrwst is a small market town in north Wales. Even though it is small, it is very busy. It has a very famous bridge said to have been built by an architect called Inigo Jones. There is a small tea room by the bridge called Ty Hwnt I't Bont. The parish church is very old, and has the stone coffin of Llywelyn the Great in it. In one of the parks there is the Gorsedd of the Bard Druid Circle from the Eisteddfod.
There is lots of lovely countyside around Llanrwst. There is even an outward bound centre in one of the forests. The Wynne family lived in a large house called Gwydir Castle, which is about one kilometre out of the town.
In this lesson you will investigate Llanrwst and compare it with your
own area.
