Introduction

William Morgan

In this lesson you will learn about a man called William Morgan, and find out why he is one of the most important people in Welsh history. William Morgan lived during Tudor times and was from Penmachno in north Wales. Born in 1545, he was a holy man who went to university in Cambridge, and later became a bishop. You will discover which piece of work took him six years, and why the people of Wales still have reason to be thankful for what he did today - 400 years since his death. There are worksheets that can be printed out, and interactive activities you can have a go at too.
