In early 2018, Theatr Genedlaethol Cymru’s production of ‘Y Tad’ went on tour throughout Wales. It is Geraint Lovegreen’s adaptation of the French dramatist Florian Zeller’s play: a tense story about a man who cannot understand what is happening to him while his memory is degenerating, and a daughter who is trying to cope with her father's illness. An interview with the Director of the play, Arwel Gruffydd, gives us an opportunity to see every part of the process of putting a production together – from the original plan for the set to the press response at the end of the journey.
